New iphone in april?
Could we be looking at a new generation of iphone in April? Reports indicate new iphone 3Gs will come with high-definition OLED screens. According to a news piece published in the Korea Times earlier today, a high-ranking executive of domestic carrier KT, who asked not to be named, said it plans to introduce the ‘iPhone 4G’ in April.
According to the un-named source, the next generation iphone will also have live video chat, a better camera and a removable battery. In addition to all the new goodies added to the new iphones, the same source says the Apple’s new smart phone will also have dual core processors, more powerful graphic chips and a higher megapixel camera to boot. It’s early days yet, but “KT and Apple have reached a broad consensus to introduce the advanced models as early as possible,” he added.
reports refer to the upcoming smartphone as the “iPhone 4G” or “4G iPhone,” it’s 99 per cent certain that the “G” refers to “generation” and not 4G wireless broadband capability as, for example, Sprint and Clearwire brand their WiMAX service.
Higher-resolution graphics seem a safe bet for the next generation of iPhones, seeing as how the current iPhone’s display is a behind-the-curve HVGA 480-by-320 pixel, 3.5-inch TFT LCD, while that pesky upstart the Nexus One enjoys a lovely WVGA 800-by-480 pixel, 3.7-inch AMOLED.
Earlier this month, it was alleged that Apple’s rumored Jan. 27 event could include the introduction of iPhone OS 4.0. One report claimed the new software developer kit includes a “simulator” that makes it easy for developers to adapt to different screen resolutions.
Apple is widely expected to introduce its long-rumored tablet device at the event later this month. This week, one rumor claimed that Apple has not issued any updates for the iPhone in some time because the next version has many tablet-related references that the company did not want to leak in advance of its planned unveiling.

Apple to be Player in Mobile Games?
Since Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone and iPod Touch appeared, industry-watchers have speculated about the death of handheld gaming consoles. Recently published was an analyst’s prediction that by 2014, Apple’s devices would be the main source of growth in mobile games.
Currently Nintendo is dominating the mobile game industry. Nintendo has sold 3.31 million units of the DS device; this is the second highest monthly total ever for a video game platform. Handheld gaming devices were in the spotlight when it comes to the video game industry. Sales were up 7% from 2008, and the nintento DS had a 17% market share.
Making a direct comparison between apple and Nintendo is very difficult. The gaming industry usually doesn’t look at smart phone for gamming stats. However in the terms of revenue, smartphone games are still a fraction compared to other handheld devices like the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.
In the end, it may make more sense to look at the succes of iPod Touch games as the expansion of a new, distinct market, rather than encroachment into Nintendo’s (and Sony’s) existing market.
Smartphones have certainly done some harm to handheld sales growth, and it seems likely that some day they will pose a serious threat. But for now, the evidence suggests that the games available on these platforms simply aren’t good enough to stop many consumers from buying the DS.

Apple Tablet: Reviews, Pictures, News, Articles
There is an enormous amount of hype about the Apple tablet / iTablet computer. We still have no confirmation if it even exists. However, At this point in the speculation with the numerous “leaked” specs and mock photos the questions is no longer whether the Tablet is real or fake, it’s a question of when.
How will people review this new device? I think it would be safe to say there will be a wide range reviews ranging from love it to hate it. Some will say the soon to be announced apple tablet could be the gadget that fills the void between too small smartphone and to large laptop. It could also be a turning point that makes a difference in how we live and work. Since computers have been around we have been trying to make them smaller, faster, lighter, and more useful to the consumer. We will always have the skeptics that may see no point in having such a device.
What type of features would the new apple tablet need to get good reviews and ratings among the consumers? If Apple does indeed release a tablet running iPhone 3.0 many would be highly disappointed. Most cannot fathom paying what will undoubtedly be a high price for a larger screen. Reports indicating that the upcoming tablet computer will come dressed in a polished aluminum casing, cementing its relationship to the Apple MacBook lineup.
What exactly is the new apple Tablet / iTablet?
rumors has the apple tablet pegged at having a 10 inch touch screen designed to bridge the gap between the iPhone/iPod and a MacBook. Apple normally has an eye for innovation and ground breaking technology. The idea of falling in line by simply producing an expensive “Apple exclusive netbook” may or may not have the same effect as the iPod and iPhone. Many Silicon Valley insiders view this as Apple trying to play catch up to the current market rather than attempting to create an entirely new product as they have done in the past.
